The name “Tsapluzaïres” comes from the common term in the Auvergne for inspiring woodcarvers, instinctive artists, woodturners, and timewasters. Talented violinists Simon Guy and Romain Maurel fall into the “string scraper” category. Whilst seeking out their own art in the melodic chiselling of heartwood in the Massif Central, they’ll serve you up a few chips of inherited, composed, improvised, scraping and slightly strange violin music.
