GENERAL

·         What are the dates for VVX 2022?

VVX will take place on Thursday 18 May, Friday 19 May and Saturday 20 May 2023.

·         When will the sports activities take place?

The sports activities (trails and hikes) will take place on Friday 19 May.

SPORT

·         Where and when can I collect my bib for the trails and hikes?

Bibs can be collected from the Goulet site, in the former Volvic factory.

·         Will bag storage be provided? Is it possible to have your bag transported?

Bag storage will be provided for those taking part at the same place you collect your bib from, in the former Volvic factory, on Friday 19 May. For security reasons, bags cannot be transported as part of VVX.

·         Are poles and sticks allowed on the trails?

Yes, they’re allowed.

·         What are the cut-off times for the trails?

Cut-off times are calculated to allow participants to reach the finishing line within the maximum time permitted whilst also accommodating any possible stops along the way (to refuel, etc.).

·         How to sign up for sports activities when you’re a sports club/group of friends or colleagues?

On the Sportips registrations module, you’ll find a specific tab entitled ‘register a group’. You can then enter the required information about all participants. You will receive an offered bib (the cheapest) every 10 registered.

·         Where and when do the prize ceremonies for the trails take place?

The prizes ceremonies will take place on Friday 19 May (upcoming information about the hours).

·         Are dogs allowed on the trails/hikes?

Dogs are not allowed on the trails, but are allowed on hikes, so long as they remain on a lead.

·         Is it possible to hike with children in a pushchair?

No. It is strongly recommended you use a baby sling to carry young children.

ACCESS/ACCOMMODATION

 

·         How can I get to the starting point for the trails? Where can I park my car?

You can only access the starting point for the trails exclusively by shuttle bus, no parking is available on the Goulet site or in the town centre. Free parking is provided in the lower part of Volvic village, next to the Champleboux sports centre.

·         How can I get to Volvic?

By car, Volvic is just 20 min from Clermont-Ferrand, 2 hours from Lyon and 4 hours from Paris.

Volvic train station is located 5km from the town centre. Regular TER rail and TER coach services are available from Clermont-Ferrand.

Clermont-Ferrand airport is 30 min from Volvic.
